Top 3 Fat Burning Foods – Suprising Gems That Will Shock You

By: Mike Geary

In all of the years that I’ve worked as a professional Nurtrition Specialist, I’ve noticed that most people are quite shocked when I tell them what my picks are for the top fat burning foods they should be choosing from for optimal weight loss and good health.

I’m not going to sit here and tell you the standars that you hear – fruits, vegetables, brown rice, and so on since everyone knows about these foods. Instead, I want to show you some of the shocker foods that many people completely overlook as healthy that really can help you see faster fat loss.

Let’s get to it.

1. Egg Yolks

Yes, you read that right.  Full eggs with all their fat and cholesterol.  Eggs have been the ‘bad guy’ for far too long and it’s time to change this.  If you’ve been mislead about the cholesterol in the egg yolks, it’s time to rethink this.  Egg yolks will actually raise your GOOD cholesterol, helping you maintain a healthier overall profile. If you can, try and choose cage-free eggs that come from free roaming hens whenever possible since their omega-3 content is much higher and will provide you with a more balanced fat profile.

Egg yolks are actually one of the most nutrient dense foods available in terms of total vitamins, minerals, and trace nutrients.  If you were to try and list all the valuable nutrients found in this food, you’d be going on for pages. Just know that you should not make every effort to avoid egg yolks and just go with egg whites.  As long as you’re keeping track of the calories, there is nothing wrong with having the yolks.

2. Avocados

The second ‘fatty food’ that many people avoid at all costs is avocados.  These are actually one of the best fat burning foods around.  Why? Avocados are packed with healthy fats, fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.  In addition to this, most people really enjoy the taste, so they may just help control your appetite and keep cravings down. They will definitely stroke the fat burning hormones in the body so start including them regularly.

You can easily start adding in avocado slices to your morning eggs, salads, sandwiches, and stir-fries.  I would definitely say that if you want to create a diet that contains healthy super foods that burn fat, they should be in there.

3. Grass Fed Beef

Beef is a protein source that often gets knocked by those who are trying to lose weight because of the fact it is higher in calories and saturated fat.  First off, you should know that not all of the fat in beef is saturated – a good portion of it is actually Omega-3 fats and it is in perfect combination with Omega-6 fats for good health.

Grass-fed beef also has many vitamins and minerals such as conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and iron which is very important for delivering oxygen to the working muscle tissues.

So don’t be afraid to start adding some beef to your daily diet.  As long as you’re making smart choices with the type of beef you’re adding, there is no reason this cannot be part of a fat loss diet.
