The Secret To Six Pack Abs

Almost everyone whose into fitness even a little bit is looking for the secret to get six pack abs.  They want to define, tone, and lean down their midsection and you are likely no different. 

The abs are a major problem area for many people though, which can make it slightly more frustrating when they aren’t coming in completely clearly as time passes by. 

In order to effectively obtain six pack abs, three things are in need. Here’s a brief description of each one for you.  Are you showing all three of these? If not, changes may be in order if you hope to get results.

Focus 

The first requirement if you want to get six pack abs is having a really strong focus.  You can’t try to get six pack abs, pack on 10 pounds of muscle, and lose some underarm fat all at the same time.  You need to have focus on one goal and go after that single goal. 

With the goal of getting six pack abs, losing body fat from other areas of your body are in line with this overall goal due to the fact that in order to get a six pack, you’re going to have to experience fat loss everywhere.  So, if you want fat loss and a six pack, that’s okay to say, but don’t try to go building muscle while building a six pack or dramatically improve your strength levels (since that will be very hard while on a reduced calorie diet). 

Intensity 

Next you also want to make sure you have enough intensity with your training.  You’re far better off putting in less volume with your training but going at a higher intensity than trying to spend hours and hours in the gym losing fat that way. 

You want to switch your cardio workouts to interval training and then also keep your lifting sessions short yet intense.  You don’t need to spend hours doing your workout in order to get good results.  Forty-five minutes a few times a week should be more than sufficient to do what you need to do if you’re using the right type of program for six pack abs

Determination 

Finally, the last thing that’s a must in order to successfully get six pack abs is determination. As briefly mentioned in the introduction, you’re not going to get six pack abs overnight.  If you don’t have the patience to put in the hard work over time, the chances that you see the results you are looking for is slim to none.  You must work hard to get results.  The sooner you can grasp this and prepare yourself for this work, the sooner you will have success.  You simply cannot expect otherwise.  

The minute you start looking for a quick-fix supplement that will get you six pack abs without trying, the sooner you can kiss your results good-bye. Work hard and you will be rewarded.
