The Effects of Very Low Carb Diets
As you start thinking about very low carb diets, defined as those which contain fewer than 5% of their total calories from dietary carbohydrates, it’s important to realize some of the side effects you may experience and for that matter, what the benefits are from using such a set-up.
Many people aren’t entirely clear on how to go about designing a very low carb diet, especially if they are also participating in vigorous exercise as well.
Because of the fact that higher intensity exercise must utilize glucose as fuel, if you remove this glucose from the picture (which is taken in when you eat dietary carbohydrates), it’s no wonder that you face some problems.
